What you reap is what you sow...

I truly believe that what you reap (that is what you get out of something) is what you sow (what you put into something).  You know I was talking to some of my etsy friends and they were a little down because their sells just aren't going anywhere, but this is where you can either do great things or quit.  This is the point that you have to keep going and believe that what you are doing is going to eventually be worth it all in the end.  It's about dedication to your work and believing in yourself and your abilities.

I was struggling at the beginning of the year with my own abilities as an artist.  For a while, it kind of felt like I was creating in my own little bubble, a vacum of sorts, but then I realized that I needed confidence in myself and my work.  So I worked on being confident and going with my instincts about my art and not so much relying on the critique of others- although critiques can be really helpful.  And then a magical thing happened, I started to recieve emails from others saying how much they liked my work and my ebay sells on my dolls started to pick up.  It was like when I started to believe full heartedly in what I was doing, then I started to produce great things.  Am I saying that my work is perfect?  No, absoultely not but I am growing in strides and having the confidence to keep going no matter what. 

So next time you are a little blue, think about how it's all going to be worth it in the end.  Think dedication and confidence because what you reap is really what you sow!
